| A Central New York native, Congressman Jim Walsh was born in Syracuse to the former Mary Dorsey and William F. Walsh in 1947. Jim's father, William, served as Syracuse Mayor from 1962 to 1969. In 1972, the elder Walsh was elected to the United States House of Representatives where he served until his retirement in 1978. |
