| The Central New York Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast cancer Foundation was created in 1991 and was run solely by volunteers. Today, we have a full-time Executive Director and a part-time Education Coordinator.The Central New York Affiliate has awarded more than $1.8 million dollars to non-profit breast health care organizations in Central New York. In 1996 the Komen CNY Affiliate awarded 10 grants totaling $48,000. In April 2005, the Affiliate awarded $361,000 to agencies in 17 counties throughout the Affiliate service area. Since it’s creation, the CNY Affiliate has provided over $2.5 million in grant funding for community breast health care programs |
