Rumetco Sales, Inc. was established in April of 1969with Philip H. Ruffini confident in his knowledge of the fastener industryresulting from many years of service with Whitehead Metals, Inc. Ruffini Metals Company was lengthy as a business name thus the name Rumetco Sales was established. Their first office was located on North State Street, having a customer base of approximately 40. Phil Ruffini made the decision to incorporate in August of 1971 as Rumetco Sales was starting to grow. In 1972 the company moved to 2503 Lodi Street in order to better accomodate the increase in business. Rumetco remained there until 1987 when the decision to relocate to 610 West Bear Street was made. The company now occupies more than 16,000 sq. feet on West Bear Street in Syracuse. As the company expanded, the vast fastener line was expanded to include a full line of power tools, safety equipment, clothing and many other tool and supply lines too numerous to mention.
