The mission of the Pupil Transportation Safety Institute is to meet the goal of safe transportation for school children by: providing a forum for open communication with all participants in the pupil transportation environment, supporting research into areas identified through real life experience, striving to acquire knowledge which will enable all participants in school transportation to develop skills and habits respecting the life and well-being of the students transported, and supporting high expectations for safety excellence and encouraging and recognizing individual accomplishments.
